CCTV Surveys

Actfast has invested in the latest CCTV surveying equipment, with DVD recording facilities, enabling our technicians to accurately diagnose any faults in the drainage system under review. We can also supply a written report with a DVD recording as required when dealing with insurance claims, if any remedial works need to be carried out.

Brickwork & SkyHigh Pressure Water Jetting
From time to time all drainage systems will require cleaning, in order to remove grease and debris which can build up over time. This can prevent future blockages or problems occurring. When drains block, HPW jetting is the most reliable and cost effective method of unblocking and cleaning drains. At Actfast our vehicles are equipped with jetting units which deliver 14 gallons of water per minute at a pressure of 4,000 psi allowing us to clear all types of drains quickly.
Using our HPW jetting we also provide a cleaning service for all surfaces eg. paths, concrete, floors etc.

Root Cutting
Over 80% of drains blockages are due to tree roots either displacing or breaking existing drainage pipes. Using a combination of CCTV surveying to identify the problem and the latest root cutting equipment, Actfast can eradicate tree roots to remove the most common cause of blocked drains.
Sometimes the damage caused by tree roots can require excavation and relining of pipework, another area Actfast specialise in. Brickwork & Sky

Relining
With the latest ‘no dig’ technology, Actfast can repair full drainage systems without the need to carry out time consuming and costly excavations.
No dig techniques include resin relining of the inside of old drainage systems restoring the water flow whilst also preventing future displacement and root intrusions.

Excavations
As a last resort it is sometimes necessary to excavate old drains due to drain collapses or other types of pipe damage which cannot be repaired above ground.
In these instances Actfast will excavate a localised area following a CCTV survey, which will be used to pinpoint the problem. Typical repair work undertaken could include replacement of gullies, collapsed pipes, displaced or open joints, soil pipes etc but could also include relaying or re-routing of existing systems.
Actast also provide a wider array of services including drain tracing and new drain installation for both new and old properties.
